Our Story
Hi there!

I am Mohamed Ali Ahmed: the founder and current director of SOS Tutors. I have been tutoring for about five years on my own and used to be a full-time teacher at a couple secondary schools in London.
Anyone who has done teaching at mainstream schools will tell you how tricky it can be. That is mainly because, not every person is in the best condition to learn. Especially during the adolescent period where many students are going through puberty, friendship struggles, stress, whatever the cause. A lot goes on, and finding the right support for them can be difficult.

I remember when I was struggling on an assignment, I had to submit for my teaching degree a few years back. I came across some research material in a library and it hit me! The best ideas and strategies needed not only for my assignment, but for my teaching journey. As a matter of fact, the research was so good that I made a tuition program based of my findings and experience.

The result of my efforts proved well. An example would be when I supported a student who failed his GCSE maths exam three times, moved from college to college and was on the brink of giving up. I managed to implore the strategies of the program and helped him to pass with flying colours. He is at university now and you can find his review as well as many others on Trustpilot.

In conclusion to his story, I guess you could say I saved his soul (hence how I got the name SOS) but the main takeaway for me was that there is now a program out there that works based on the students’ schedule and capabilities.
